The leather on that first pair looks great…is it Brown Harness? Also like the look of those Christy soles all beat up–usually you only really see them in pristine condition. I like how they take on a patina of their own with time.
I’m currently having a cobbler pick apart my trusted Bobcats, trying to locate and fix a terrible squeak in the sole. It turned out to be quite hard to find anyone that carries replacement 2021s here in Sweden. And though I would prefer 4014s they only come in a lighter color.
It turned out that the squeak disappeared simply by resoling. And the sound did feel more like rubber than leather. I assume a spot of the outsole must have come undone from the slipsole, which allowed those two to rub against each other.

Yea those are brown harness leather. Which we don’t actually stock anymore. I am not sure it we are going to re commit to it as of yet.
Thanks,
I assume you’re referring to the soles in the third picture? Those are actually not Cristy (4014) but Unit (2021).
The second picture has Cristies though.
And, yes, it is spelled Cristy. Even Viberg get that one wrong.
Google “vibram 4014 cristy” and the first link should be for Vibram’s site.
Sorry for the nitpicking. Love the boots, as always.
It is a 4014 yes. The comment was with a different photo which I left.
But you are correct.
Thanks,

Do you need a hand with the actual soles? We can probably help you in sourcing or mailing a set to you
The squeaky noise is something which we have resolved due to leather on leather friction.
Feel free to email inquiries@workboot.con
Thanks,
Thanks for the offer!

That’s great to hear, thanks for the update.
